A Good Place

Casa de Pedro has 5 double bedrooms and 3 bathrooms

ImageImageIt has been lovingly restored to blend traditional Andalucian style and modern living. Original features have been retained. Beamed ceilings, terracotta floors and wooden shuttered windows mean that the house is full of character. There is also an old water storage area and bread oven. The two-foot thick stonewalls keep the place cool in the hot summer months and warm in the winter.

ImageImageInside the accommodation is spacious. It includes a well equipped kitchen and large main living area with a high vaulted ceiling. There are five bedrooms and three bathrooms.  The rooms all have their own unique characteristics and each one is special. They all have beamed ceilings and are decorated with Indian hangings and Moorish artefacts. Simply furnished with quality items, they are comfortable and clean.  Two bedrooms are situated to the side of the building and are separate from the main part of the house.

ImageImageOutside, the terrace faces south and is partly shaded with a pergola covered with jasmine and bougainvillea. The main seating area is situated here. The land around the farmhouse has been designed with wildlife in mind.

Large expanses of succulents flower throughout the season, these intermingled with other flowering plants, attract bees and a myriad of insects. The flowers in their turn attract birds, as do the bird boxes, which are situated in various locations. The birds here are fantastic and from time to time eagles have even been seen soaring overhead. A number of fruit trees can be found in the garden and visitors are invited to help themselves. Artichokes and wild asparagus can also be harvested. The land stretches down to a stream, which is normally dry during the summer months. In spring the banks are covered in a breathtaking array of wild flowers.

When the sun sets the heady fragrance of jasmine and dame de noche fills the air. Above, free from all light pollution, the intensity of the night sky helps to make this an extremely special place to be.
